Effective date: September 25, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Best Viewing Tech (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit bestviewingtech.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].

Information you give us

  • Email. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.
  • Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser user agent. Your email address is not published.

Information collected automatically

  • Server and security logs. Like most websites, our servers record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of each request. We use it to keep the site secure and working, and we do not use it to build profiles of visitors.
  • Content delivery and security. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare may set cookies that are needed for security.

Cookies and browser storage

  • If you choose light or dark mode, your preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
  • If you leave a comment, WordPress can save your name, email, and website in cookies so you do not have to enter them again. These cookies are only set if you choose to save your details.
  • Affiliate cookies are described in the next section.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking tools. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. When you click one, the retailer may set cookies on your browser so that it can credit us if you make a purchase. The retailer, not Best Viewing Tech, collects your order and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We receive commission reports from affiliate programs, but those reports do not identify you by name. See our Affiliate Disclaimer for more.

Third-party services

To display the site, your browser connects to the following services, which receive your IP address as part of the connection:

  • Google Fonts, for web fonts.
  • jsDelivr, for the icon set used on the site.
  • WordPress.org, for emoji images on some browsers.
  • Gravatar, operated by Automattic, which may receive an anonymized string created from a commenter’s email address to check whether a profile image exists.
  • Akismet, operated by Automattic, which checks comments for spam and receives the comment data described above.

Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy.

How we use information

  • To respond to your messages and review reports of errors.
  • To publish and moderate comments and filter spam.
  • To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the service providers listed above, as needed to run the site, or when required by law.

How long we keep information

Comments and their metadata are kept for as long as the comment stays published. Emails are kept for as long as they are needed to respond and to keep a record of corrections. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, such as a comment you posted, by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Depending on where you live, including in states such as California, you may have additional rights under local law. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law and will not treat you differently for making one.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
